I really like the colors in this and the lighting is pretty nice a couple of hotspots though but its ok, nice composition too - 8

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.

great capture. i like the lighting, colors, and composition. there are a couple spots that look like they could be handled in editing, but nothing major. some may complain about an imbalance in the lighting, but i don't have any problem with it as is. really like how you seem to have caught the essence you were looking for.

A good casual pose but the lighting leaves a little to be desired. My criticism is not with the low key lighting of the face but rather the disparity created by comparing the light on the arm against the shadow and then this against the face. Outside of this I like the composition. Bumping to 6.
