 Oh well, you just knew there were going to be flowers, right? Well some future macro fodder were used to brighten up the dullness of me. OK. Part of the problem with self portraiture is the almost total dislike the camera has for me. Plus age has taken its toll. Yeesh. Do be kind. At least I left my clothes on! LOL! Oh and I forgot, I am wearing my requisite "s**t eating grin". Wouldn't be me without it...ask my Mom!

Post: Having been outside all day shooting bridges reeked havoc on my skin and hair. I didn't see all the dandruff on my dark shirt so that was all cloned out. Also cloned small secondary lights out of each of my pupils and a hot spot on the tip of my ear. Crop and recropped. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness and contrast, Hue and Saturation. USM. Resize. USM.

Well that's all for me....oh lighting. Two halogen lights in clamp lamps one bouncing of the ceiling and one bouncing off a reflector under the camera. And One Table lamp with 60watt Reveal bulb for back lighting.
Now...I'm off to see if any of the bridge shots are decent and to shoot macros of the flowers in the picture. Have fun!

Woo very manly! (Just kidding) The first thing that strikes me is that the edges on some of the flowers and the left side of your face look very 'sharp' almost like they've been masked to get the background black. As such they stand out, but kinda in that disjointed floating in nothing way. The seemingly separate lighting also helps with that feeling. Part of me wonders if you're involved with flowers and that's why they are there or else it's a DPC joke thing. Personally, I think overall the image would probably have had a better impact without them.

Ah, sooo cute!! Though I don't have nearly enough talent to make a suggestion, I will at least mention that I think I might like this even more if the light coming from under your face weren't quite so strong. But what a great shot! Make sure to keep this one.

Is he a florist, by trade? Nice shot, but the pedals on the right of the picture are just a little too bright. Pulls my eye away from the rest of the photo. <6>
