Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Byetko...
This is definitely a nice photo capture. However, I really have a difficult time with it as a good entry for the 'from above' challenge. I can definitely see that your camera is above the subject, but the theme is definitely a bit weak in my opinion.
I can't really offer a strong critique for you on this image.

Nice handling of the snow. The image is confusing and the deer does not stand out. |

Good choice including the branches in your crop. A bit too flat, though... might also benefit from playing with the gamma and saturation a bit. |

I don't see how this meets the challenge but it is still an interesting image to capture. |

deadcenter composition. Would be better about four steps earlier. |
