The idea is good, I don't think you needed the (clutching at straws) part, the highlights are a bit blown out.

Full body shot with the subject trying to catch something, jumping, and thus being separated from his shadow would have been a good continuation of this idea. THe shoes are a little different in exposure, and that's distracting. 5
