I gave this a 7, based on the photo itself. Can't understand 11 "1" votes, but I guess everyone has their own taste. |

I see no reference whatsover to the 70's in this photo. The jeans, replete with holes were more an 80's thing,,,
Having had the good fortune of enjoying the 70's, the title utilized in this instance is not in keeping with the "Free Spirits" I had the pleasure to encounter during that time frame.
Not a bad photo, but from my perspective, did not meet the challenge.

Being a free spirit, I met many when I did Frisco, Sauselito and La when I headed west in 1966. Very good light and figure study. Bumping up. |

Good photo, but I'm not really seeing the 70s connection. |

Did she burn her bra or something? |

If she if a free spirit why does she have her hand covering her breast? |

Like the concept, and like how she is lit and the light coming through the window. The heater? pulls my eye toward it and detracts from the photo. Without the heater I really like this photo. |

I love the lighting but I wish the background had a bit more to it. |

I love it, really brings back the essence of the 70's. Hippies, woodstock, peace and love etc.
This is my choice for a blue ribbon |

I like the shot, but the free spirit from the 70s would not be covering up the nipple. |

I'll admit that I'm one of the perverts who will gladly bump a score a few notches for a shot like this :) Very nice subject, I must say! |

Covering the breast doesn't really show "free spirit" though, does it? The contrast is nice. |

Not really sure why she's covering her breasts in a rather uncomfortable looking pose. I like the window light but I find her too stretched and stressed to be the 'Free Spirit' |

Sensational lighting and a georgeous model.
The heater (?) works well as it looks old, so could be from the 70's. However, I would love this shot lighting wise but without the heater (i.e. heater is perfect for the challenge and thus you got a 10 anyway, but as a non challenge photo I would like it more without the heater). Sensational shot. |
