 Lighting striking the first capture!
I remember when I was 5 years old, I was sitting on the porch with my dad and a few of his friends. It was raining and every few seconds there was a lighting striking in spider webs right in front of our house. My dad had a camera and he was trying to get a picture of one of them bright bolts that flashed before us so quick. I dont think he ever got a picture on that attempt. Ever since then I have wanted to try and do the same. Of course wouldnt daddys little girl want to try the same things their father done, I think, most do:) Anyways I have tried a couple of times and I finally got it tonight. Though out of the many chances I had where the lighting stretched clear across the sky this is the only one captured. I wanted to open the door but it was a little too cold and windy. I should add too, its not safe to stand in direct paths of storms like this. I was behind a door in my house when the lighting seemed at times to come right at me. My house is grounded as well so hopefully that is why this lighting bolt stayed away:) Here is a CHEERS to digital.. My first lighting bolt!
