I think this is a fun idea, but the execution leaves me a bit uninspired. I'm not sure if its the color choices made, the composition or what that isn't working for me.
I do think the colors work together and play off each other well and that yellow is nice and vibrant, but the background they are on dulls out the blue too much. Maybe if there were other colors either in the pieces or used as a ground it would have some more liveliness to it, which line-dancing tends to evoke as well.
The composition might work better if the pieces were staggered as if they were dancing with a partner, do-si-do-ing if you will. Or perhaps having a wider view, instead of an up close shot of pieces that don't have very many interest points in and of themselves.
I think it was a good effort for the challenge, and there is much to work with in this image. A bit of adjusting might make for an even better photo. I gave a 3. |

I like the composition, but feel that a little extra sharpening is needed to really bring out the texture. |

this is so random! 'parchesian line dancing' was not a hobby that i was aware of - a level of boredom i guess i haven't reached yet ;-) nice shot, good DOF and i like the color combination of yellow and blue. |
