 The grand prize winner of a craft club whose members spend a lot of time making these many-coloured and many-patterned thread balls, or temari, as they are known in Japanese. It is a craft with 1000 years of history, appearently.
Macro shot with my new 50mm lens using available light - for some reason, the camera likes to use ISO 1600 on such shots.
