I think this would be better with the bottom cropped off such that it's in landscape orientation. The shadowy part doesn't add much to the shot. I like the colors and the light on the hand.

beautiful colors and lighting. I think a little more cropping off the bottom would really improve this photo

I once started (okay, bought the fabric) for a quilt with simialr colors and effect, love it!! (Might have to dig that stuff out!) Oh yeah, and great photo too, lol! The lighting and the shadows really make this a nice work, great job!

The thumbnail promised nothing, but this is and interedting photo. I love the textures in the hand and in the quilt. As much as I want to like this photo, the disembodied hand doesn't work for me though I can't articulate whay.

It took a little studying to work out what this was. The dark, blurred material in the foreground confused me for a minute. The centre of attention is nicely sharp, though.

Hand is too dark...I think a better angle might have been from above...wouldn' have that dark area in the bottom left 1/3 of the shot

This is a great image. The lighting on the hand is very interesting. Nice subject and colors as well. I think this might be a stronger image if the shadowed lower part of the shot were cropped. Take a look at this after cropping a little more than a third from the bottom of the shot. I think loosing the shadow and placing the point of the star near the bottom of the frame really draws your eye to the focal point better.

This photo is beautiful. I'm wondering if there is something here I am supposed to be understanding. It seems like it should be deeply meaningful. :) 9
