 Two in a vase. I would more show Irises in portrait, but I like the spread of the leaves in this. I wish there were no blowout on the flowers but I like the contrasts.
Shot in a set up of 5 pieces of white foam board, top, bottom, back and both sides. Two clamp lamps one on either side at the top pointing down with a 100w halogen in each.
Post: Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. USM. Crop. Resize. USM.

This is stunning, the play of colors on the white background is nearly electric. I wouldn't have pegged it as an entry to this challenge, but it is a wonderfully arresting photograph. Unless you get pounded by voters who think you DMTC, I predict a top 10 finish.

The colors are very nice - but they seem like 'bright on white' to me.

very nice, pretty and nicely composed. However,it isn't of a light colour. Purple is rather bold...the background is white and light.
