 Shot on a Nikon D70 with 60mm macro (I don't know how to change this in the info) f3.8 @40th. I compensated +1 2/3 stops to allow for the metering error of the white subject and shot wide open to minimize depth of field. I poured some sugar into a white tissue shot a couple and later added a spoon

you should increase the aperture for a photo like this...if you want to focus on a certain letter in a newpaper for example then Id go with a narrow aperture. in this case, the salt should be focused from the spoon down
