Lovely foreground texture and exposure. Some areas look a little to treated to me though, making it seem a bit forced, which I don't think was necessary. I really do love the snow here - very detailed and well toned. |

Yes, he did take some portraits and color shots, but in my opinion they are not what define his style. Everyone experiments, but one's style is what is common and familiar. If every type of photo someone ever took were included in a description of their style, then every photographer would have essentially the same style. In my opion, what defines Ansel Adams' STYLE is high contrast outdoor black and whites, not every photo he ever took. |

I think that you've captured the detail in the snow really well. |

good photo, but with the blue cast it does not have a feel of Adams photo |

I like the untouched snow the the right. The top of the clouds are very nice with the sun on top. I like the glistening of the water on the far side of the river. Interesting lines of the trees on the right where as they are up and down more on the left. - 7 |

I know this comment won't help to make you a better photog, but... YES! this is my idea of a great AA entry, I hope people don't vote it down for not being totally B&W. The only flaw I can find is what looks like some ice floating near center bottom, maybe that could have been cloned out so the water's surface was more consistent |

this is truly beautiful shot. I wonder if the blue tone is acceptable in black and white though- nevertheless it's gorgeous. |

grey. Snow is not white, and river and trees are not black. |

Nice range of tones... the dark of the river is a bit overpowering. |

Too much blue, though the clarity of the image is grand. |

Very engaging, dramatic image. Your leading lines take my eye right in and around. The burning of the sky bugs me just a bit, as I can see the line where it ends above the trees. Still, an exciting photo! 8 |
