To my mind, the ground on the left does not appear sharp enough.

Composition: 3, Tilted horizon detracts from overall shot.
Technical: 4, Tone range could be expanded a bit. Middle greys are really dominant
Appeal: 5
Challenge: 5, Fits challenge
Overall Calculated Average Score: 4, If the "desaturation" method was used to make this b/w, there are better ways discussed on digital b/w websites.

As far as the eye can see there is no subject for this shot. You don't have leading lines taking you into the shot either. There is some texture, but it is muted by the lack of contrast. There is nothing here to hold the interest of the viewer. An awesome landscape without some kind of subject is just (in this case) a couple of hills...

In the sense of the tonal results of the zone system, this image works fine. where it falls down, for me, is that I can't imagine AA ever shooting with so bland a sky, and including so much of it. He did favour a more cnetred composition than we often see here, and there are strong elements of texture that he would have appreciated, but compositionally this misses.

The plain blue (grey?) sky stops this picture having any real focus.

The image is quite flat, and a large portion is occupied by the sky, which does not have anything interesting going on. Also the right half of the image lacks any detail.. a better angle might have been to concentrate on the extreme left, where there seems to be some interesting structure in the rock.
