Not for this challenge, but the composition makes me want to run a "painting" filter on it and use it as a Christmas card : )

One of the nicer color entries to this challenge. Nice job enhancing the contrasts while controlling the highlights. The composition is the real strength here though. The scene is very well balanced with nice use of lines. Outstanding image.

It's hard to tell, but this looks like it's in color. Yes, he did take some portraits and color shots, but in my opinion they are not what define his style. Everyone experiments, but one's style is what is common and familiar. If every type of photo someone ever took were included in a description of their style, then every photographer would have essentially the same style. In my opion, what defines Ansel Adams' STYLE is high contrast outdoor black and whites, not every photo he ever took.

This is a bit too christmas-cardy for AA, I would say. His images, to my mind, are not usually so twee. The tonality is fine, as one would hope given the massive range that departing from black and white allows you.

Lovely scene while not being typical AA material. Well composed and the subtle desat brings your own character to the shot. Tonal range is good, as is the exposure, but it's probably not stereotypical enough to score highly in this challenge (neither is mine!).

I like this shot. It has good tonal range. Not sure what was to the right of the chapel, but I wish I could see more of the mountain and less of the spruce tree. 6

This is really beautiful and the tones make the scene really have some impact on the viewer. Very clean and clear with a wide range of the b/w scale. One of my top picks.

Lovely shot! Not the typical clouds or craggy rocks. The contrast and angle of the shot is excellent! I like the architecture amidst the natural setting - all coated with snow. Way to go!
