I hope this is perceived as subtly surreal. I stuck a chillie into a cheap lipstick using a knife and a paint brush (I felt like a plasterer). Would have liked to see more light on the chillies in the background but ran out of torches (havent got real studio lights) and time.

You had a compositional challenge here. The photo of the lipstick holder and the chili lipstick are excellent. The bunch of chilis does not work as well as they are partially blocked from view and they are not as brightly lit. I would suggest just a pair fully exposed and well lit just to the left of the holder. A 7.

Clever and well-executed. I'm not sure if the background cluster adds to or detracts from the scene, but I suppose a single pepper wouldn't be recognizable. Nice job. 8

Just for the Pun of it, you are one hot photographer! On the mark, clever, and well done.

Ahh finally something original! I really dig the idea behind this shot! Lighting couldn't been colder tho. The shadow burn on the items is unwelcome to make this shot more 'on white' perfect. Pretty cool idea mate! 7

I like this photo very much. Taken at 'face' value, this photo has nothing to do with surrealism - but that's only so long as a cigar is just a cigar.

Original idea. I feel the idea could be pushed even further. Perhaps full, cold lips approaching from top right corner, from the direction where the hotness is bending. Maybe it's the background, being so dull.
