Like that buttress of that tree. Looks like a lovely scene before you.

Nice.

I like this, but feel that the two birds could be cloned out, as they disrupt the feeling of stillness.

Well taken. You have a good eye for composition.

This border is really distracting.

You have a great image here which beautifully uses the full range of tones. I feel the border is a little too large and becomes a little overbearing..... but I do like the picture

Nice image, but the frame is too heavy. I know you were mostly trying to get rid of distracting elements, but the tight crop, especially at the bottom, leaves this image lacking something. My brain wants to see more of the foreground.

Composition: 9
Technical: 9, Very peaceful. Nice tone range
Appeal: 10, Shadows on tree are quite interesting
Challenge: 9, I think the border is a little too big, and takes space from the photo

It's a bit too tight for me, but on the other hand it still seems to work. I like the soft grey tones of the tree and boat and how they contrast against the somewhat darker toned background. Especially the way the tree fills the shot is very good.

Unfortunate cropping of the boat and geenral messiness of compositionw ith the tangled tree limbs mar this otherwise serene and mellow image.

Not crazy about the framing it takes away rather than enhances the picture

Nice subject, composition and editing. The size of the frame dosen´t bother me very much but think I would have liked it better totaly white.

Shallow DOF is the only drawback to this image in this contest

cropped a little too tight for my liking, but you may have had no choice or I may just have bad taste?
