Greetings from the Critique Club!
A very dramatic and well-done photo. I'll blame the poor score on voters wanting to see landscapes. If the challenge was Henri Cartier-Bresson this should have done well, because it certainly captures the "decisive moment". It needs some sharpening, especially after using Neat Image. |

very good b/w with great tonal values, good focus and good composition. Bumping up. |

Nice action shot. Good focus, clarity and mood (facial expressions are real). Don't see the relationship to AA. |

Yes, he did take some portraits and color shots, but in my opinion they are not what define his style. Everyone experiments, but one's style is what is common and familiar. If every type of photo someone ever took were included in a description of their style, then every photographer would have essentially the same style. In my opion, what defines Ansel Adams' STYLE is high contrast outdoor black and whites, not every photo he ever took. |

I like the worried-looking expression. |

Came back for a second and third look at this one. Realize that AA did portraits. . . but question action photos or drama?1 Certainly has all the zones covered and certainly draws you in to the concern shown! BOL 7 |

did she get in on that try?
being an EMT myself I realize its difficulty in taking any picture in that kind of setting. However I still think the cut off head of the two nurses/doctors in the background is distracting. perhaps a wider angle including the two nurses would be better. |

This is a competently exposed photo, and the lighting is good. The apparatus held by the subject clutters and confuses. And if this were not the case, it would still have no discernable link to the challenge. |

The background is blurred. AA didn't do a lot of portrait work. All the same, here's to those in the medical field, our local heroes! best of luck |

Looks a little more like W. Eugene Smith than St. Ansel, but a FINE photograph! |

Pay attention to your levels before desaturating. The face in the foreground needs to show up more. Thanks for a unique image in this challenge. |

Nice B+W photo, but I'm not sure this met the challenge. |

This is remarkably nice, and a brave entry given the topic. The image looks very much like something AA would have done. It is unfortunate that the face is not in focus. A strong entry in my eyes, nevertheless. |
