Ok this road is really called Cooperbridge Rd....For real I didnt know how much water there was because it is winter and I hardly have explored the area in this season. Another couple of weeks though we will be seeing buds and new life everywhere.
This was hard for me to choose a good B&W image that would resembel Adams work. My color images I thought were best because I love the sky at sunset. There are a million places around here that you can get pretty close to his work.

Hey Tracy. Just wanted to comment on this. It is a little hard to focus on the subject or subjects, but if you intention was abstract then it really does look good. The frame is filled nicely and your lighting and tonal range could of been better if you had bolder sunlight..nice interesting road you live by.

Composition: A little busy. Some simplification of shot would help
Technical: Focus could use a little sharpening on foreground
Appeal: A more recognizable point of focus would help the appeal
Challenge: Subject fits challenge ok

Very soft focus and not enough DOF.

There's nothing in this picture to really look at. It's a jumble of ill focused twigs and branches that gives the eye nowhere to start. I would have preferred if you'd found some detail in the branches to focus on. Something interesting to the eye that gave me a starting point for the image. 5

A little out of focus, nice tones.

Revisiting and explaining my lower scores - I hope to be helpful, not insulting.

I only rated this a 4because the photo seems very out of focus, with no clear subject at all. The colors are okay, but there is no feeling of depth or purpose.

Kind of blurry and not a particularly interesting subject--perhaps a clearer shot would have helped that.

Shallow DOF hurts this image in this contest

Should be a little sharper.
