Hi Wildblue...
I think this is an excellent emotion capture. I expected to see some shots like this one, but you executed this one rather well. The lighting is right on and I really like the softness of the image. The little bit of catch light in the tear really sets this photo in motion for me. The tonal range of the photo is also very nice. The highlights and the lowlights are in sync and the balance is excellent.
I can't really suggest any changes for this image. The composition is good and the execution is good also...
Keep up the good work :)

I think a slight tilt to the right would have helped. Make the bridge of the nose seem less obvious in the shot and bring the other eye in a little. Did you use artificial tears or is this for real? |
