good picture .. but ... too much sky. about 2 inchs of sky would give more to the picture, there is nothing inspiring about the top part of the sky. |

I love it. The empty pier leading....somewhere. It says, "Go ahead, walk off this pier. See where it goes. And, while you're at it, give me a score of 9." |

A very nice picture. I am going to give this an 8, although I do not personally see the dream like quality claimed in the title. |

The picture could use more sharpness and contrast. Not really surreal... 5 |

I think boosting the contrast would have improved this shot just a bit. 7 |

Really, really nice... inspires me to do more black and whites shots. Or was it just a really dreary day...? I think the horizontal and vertical juxtaposition is what draws me in, and realizing that the horizon is past the little ridge. |

I like the coldness, the emptiness. I like the fact that it seems so lifeless but that the walkway is evidence of habitation. I guess there is a very subtle 'surreality' in its existence here. And to give you the benefit of the doubt, Dali's landscapes shared a similar starkness, though they were dotted with melting clocks. In all, I think it falls just short of meeting the challenge (which puts it far ahead of more than half the entries.) |

It's a very nice image, but at the same time it's quite hard for me to say what's surreal in this one. |

More darkened clouds might be better? Regards |
