This is a fantastic capture, but it looks like it's a capture from television.

Great motion capture, but isn't the main subject the horizon, if that's your line?

i think you might've stretched this entry just as far as i stretched mine for the challenge. i hope yours is doing better than mine :P

Well, the horizon is there, but it's not the subject. I'm not punishing for not meeting the challenge; I don't really do that anyway. It's a good shot, but somehow the colors don't work for me. 7

Great capture. For the challenge I think you need the horizon (an obvious line for the purists) but I'd love to see a tighter crop after the challenge

This is a fantastic action shot. The top half of the photo seems like wasted space to me. It's out of focus, and it adds no value to the photo. In fact, I think there is more drama if the surfer is high in the photo.

the horizon is a line, yes, but it's not the emphasis of the photo. However, this is a spectacular shot, and the waves themselves have lines, so although I would under other circumstances give it a "10", I can only at this point give it a "9". Great photo!

Doesn't look like you have wanted to capture the horizon. It looks more like the horizon happen to be there :) Nice action though.
