Rob Go recommended I check out your work. Your use of light to make the image is very impressive. Here the darkness creates an abyss and the shadows on the face create anonminity (sp?). Very impressive.

Voted but was unable to comment:
The highly attractive aspect of this image is that as humans' we often behave and act like wooden models because we contain within us what should be spoken. |

Wow! Excellent work. i really like the concept, enough to catch a glimpse of it, loose my internet connection, and go searching through the challenge pages to find it. Wonderful job. |

(plus) I like the tones... it almost seems as though they are checking with one another to confirm. (minus) sad commentary ...creative though |

Simply because they have a relationship in a sense, does not make them friends. As a matter of fact, friendship is a personal, namely humanistic expression. Actually friendship, is philologically rooted in love. But do not worry too much, I still voted on the photo itself. |

This is a nice shot. I love the contrast in this image. You have really dark blacks and really bright whites. Nice work. |

This perhaps is the most striking shot of the challenge for me. It's not the average snapshot (and that is refreshing after viewing so many trite family, baby, dog, cat shots). You could have gone "out of the box" by just using the dummies in some sort of a pose, but the shot went better. Nice depth of field, and I think the general horizontal angling works. But I'd probably like to see a bit more verticality for this concept. If the title were "sitting on the dock of the bay," then this would be a great vertical angle. But for "suicide pact," maybe showing a bigger potential drop for the figurines would create more tension. In any case, this is getting a 9 when 95 percent of the other entries are getting 2s. Thanks. |

I like this idea a lot, and think you've arranged it very well. The grayscale is great, and I like the border. I just wish that the mannequins were in equally sharp focus, and that they were further from the background, to prevent the shadow. |

The best Woody picture I've seen on DPC. Strong composition and lighting withoutthe usual 'woody-humor.' Great work, I hope you don't get deforested by wood-haters. |

ROTFLMAO - what a wonderful idea and title!! If only they were standing together on the railing of a bridge or tall tower. But I like how it is all black "down there". I'll give you an 8 to make up for all the woody-haters that will come to get you. |
