An effective use of the strictest interpretation of line. To balance the vertical nature of the pencil, I personally would have gone with the landscape format, but that really is insignificant.

Interesting focus and composition. I like how the line narrows down to the pencil point, but would like to see the rest of the pencil base just as sharp as the point.

I don't see that the noise generally and the sharpening artefacts (particularly around the point of the pencil) are of any great help to this image. The extreme shallowness of the depth of field suggests a large-sensor camera, and yet the final image's uqality suggests something much less sophisticated.
