Took this shot 2 hours before the submission deadline. So I rushed the composition on Gimp and I also rushed the shoot I guess. I was not happy with the fact that I didnt get the passing train, but I didnt have time to wait.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

It looks like not many comments were given on this image, and that's too bad.

When I look at this photo, I see a street scene with lots of common elements, and some interesting light coming from sources both within and outside of the frame.

My eye automatically heads for the brightest spot in the image: the light almost center. It is bright, and it has a starry look to it. If I'm not supposed to be looking there, you may want to think about how you've composed this.

I like how even common items can be used in photos, and I really can appreciate your "slice of life" point of view here. My biggest suggestion would be to discover and then communicate something specific about this place. Right now, the whole scene is open to the viewer to see and explore, but it might be worthwhile to choose something on which to focus, and then select a point of view and a mood that make us really see and understand how you feel about the subject.

Good luck to you in the future, and keep up the good work!

Thanks,

David

A bit confusing composition, probably would have been better narrowing the view a little....
