Thanks, Steve. I was a bit surprised myself. The light on the right side is out of the ordinary, but I didn't want to take your average shot with average light. hehee..I guess this is what I get for thinking out of the box. |

WHAT?!!! This only got 5.6?
Wow. I can hardly believe it. Sometimes voters just flat out blow it. I guess that they thought it failed to "meet the challenge".
This is one of my top three choices for that challenge and is a fantastic image. Looks to me like only 4 other people in that challenge recognized great photography when they saw it. :)

I see lines and a really blown out right side. but it is a fun picture that conveys its goals. good effort |

Interesting take on the challenge, the girls add interest, right side seems a little blown out though |

i feel that it's safe to say this is a sonja production - wonderful shot once again, and a very good choice in b/w. chandraya sure does have a flare for the camera (and dancing!). |

The blur effect wasn't needed, cute pose even thought I don't like children to use make-up |

Solidly done image - I suspect, exactly what you were after, pretty much. It doesn't do much for me, however: the soft focus/hyper-smooth treatment implies a glamour and indulgence that doesn't sit well with kids looking quite so sure of themselves. |

I really like the composition of this shot, although its relevance to lines is a little shakey (yes, I do see the lines in the lockers) |

They are so cute. The lines give perspective to the picture. Personnally I find the light a bit harsh at the right. Still one of my preferred in this challenge.

Well composed, great capture of expression. The high key right side just highlights the girls more. The tonal range of this image probably could have won the Ansel Adams challenge if it had been in a landscape. I'll be vilified by the "oversmoothing" crowd, but I really like this capture. This should be a ribbon winner. |
