Challenge victim? With so few comments it's hard to tell. (I didn't enter or vote in this one.)
The problematic parts for me are: highlights blown out = loss of detail in the blouse, nose ring evidently missing, sub-par background detracting. (I know, you didn't ask.)
What makes it worthy (for me) are: the facial expression, the point of view, the detail in the hair, the unaffected casualness of it all. It's as if you captured a beautiful candid, while setting it up all the time.

Great strong color contrasts, with black/browns on white/flesh-tones. The central location of the jewelry and the focus of the girls attention on the clasp give this photo a good energy. Cool work. |

Good photo, but not what the challenge really calls for. It doesn't really make me think "best friends" when I look at it. lol, no, not that way. |

Although diamonds are a girl's best friends, I dont get that feeling from the picture. |
