This was a horrible snapshot of my daughter Meridian, that I used to practice my BW conversions, and managed to really salvage the photo. I thought that in BW, the blowouts really add interest rather than detracting.

what a lovely picture of an extremely sweet child. your conversion to b/w is very nice here. just one suggestion about the crop: i noticed while scrolling down the page that it was easier to be drawn to the eyes when the image is cropped vertically from the top, down to about where the higlights in the hair end...
she has beautiful eyes and you have caught a great expression. good job!!

Very well done. I love everything about it. I really like the eyes, very interesting. I am sorry I have nothing to say about making it better. If I were you I would frame it. That is a timeless moment and a very well executed shot.

This doesn't look like a horrible snapshot at this time :)
ofcourse snapshots capture a great moment in time and this looks really great.. i haven't seen your original, but this photograph is very nicely converted to b/w.. eyes look lovely
