this was shot just a blink after this one

this woman belonging to this arm (that came close to knocking my camera out of my hands), then informed me that i was 'not allowed to photograph children in this country.' i shrugged and walked away.

i struck up a conversation with a peace officer, and asked him about whether or not there were such laws and/or regulations prohibiting photographing children in public. he said no, but that there had been some issues in trafalgar square with 'detached men with cameras displaying more than a passing interest in the children present.' he also said that although people are free to photograph what they wish, if someone were to raise suspiciion, they might be asked to show just what they were shooting. he laughed when i proceeded to show him my collection of 'buildings under gray skies' and 'blurry buses'...

Wow, more than a bit pushy on her part, especially given that she was telling an untruth. Does make for a funny story though.

Interesting 'Blog' i would say! Did you happen to snap a picture of the women in question? This makes for an interesting story. I love the part with the Peace officer and the 'Buildings under gray skies' lol.

Personnally, i rarely take pictures of children, scared i might get punched in the face or somethin' .

Cheers,

I don't know Skip - the composition on this shot seems a bit off. ;^) Glad you're ok and the lady mentioned didn't incite a riot or get you roughed up a bit...
