This image was taken in Monument Valley, USA. It is in the Navajo Indian Reservation on the Arizona / Utah border.

This is the land where Pfc. Lori Piestawa was from. She is the only American female army soldier ever to die in combat serving her country.

This isn't the best shot I took there, but thought it might do well in the challenge.

I drove all night to catch the first rays of morning sunrise. I bought the clock at 2:38 AM in a truck stop in Flagstaff, Arizona along the way. I put it in the image to add interest for this particular challenge.

Unfortunately the close cropping was necessary to make the horizon level. Dang it!

Give me a 1 for all I care, I had a blast taking pictures.

While there I took a lot of images containing the clock. Later I regreted that I did not take more shots without it.

Without a doubt the most imaginative picture in this challenge. Great idea. What a view!

Pretty eclectic shot! Overall, works quite well; rich color really complements the shot. Softer focus on the rock formations doesn't work quite as well, in my opinion, but it would be tough to do much more and still keep the clock in focus. Overall, quite nicely done.

i m not sue you needed the clock in this picture. your title says it all. i would have preferred to see the stone monument more in focus.

One of the best in this challenge, good technical quality and appealing. Good idea and execution.

I see the timeless beauty of the background scenery (poorly focused as it is), but the clock in the foreground doesn't fit in very well.
