Greetings from the critique club !!

Initial impact: Not much. This image dosn't tend to grab the veiwers attention. I think this may be in part because your background and foreground colors are to simular.

Meet the challenge: By definition yes. However I feel that stock photorgaphy would be used to advertise or sell somthing. I don't see what this image might be trying to sell.

Color: I would like to have seen lighter and brighter silver. The phoe looks to have a sepia hue through it. The color dosnt work for me pehaps some blue greys might have done it. This also would have pulled the image away from your background cousing it to "pop" out a bit better.

Back ground: As I mentioned before does not complement the subject. I do like the green however.

Lighting: Decent lighting I particularly like the glow and shadows on the backdrop.

Focus: not bad for a general shot: Hower I feel for stock photography it would have been better if you could have managed to get the #'s of the phone a bit more crisp. They look to be just a bit out of focus. I feel that writting should almost always be crisp.

Composition: I must agree with the other commenter here. I feel this would have been a better image if the entire phone had been in the shot.

Overall: As is I'd say 5. Little better focuse, add the whole phone, and make the silver look a bit more silver.... Well i'd go for a 7 or 8. Not a bad image or concept. I would have to say it's about average for DPC. I feel due to a few technical problems it just fails to stand out from the pack. Keep up the nice work. I'm sure in before long you will grabbing a couple of those elusive ribbons. I see skill it just didn't pan out for this one. Thanks for sharing

lackluster composition hurts this otherwise nice photo.

It looks more gold than silver on my screen.

The colors here are great but the photo has a soft feel to it that does not work for me. I also wish you got the top of the phone in the photo. The glare is a bit much but really does not bother me too much. Not sure if you sharpen the photo after you resize. I think this could have been a great photo, you're almost there. 5

Great color, great lighting - I just feel you cropped it too low...

Your bokeh is really exquisite and the subject is OK, but I'd include the whole thing. This wouldn't sell just because it's not a whole phone, rather an 80% one.

Focus could be sharper. Like the comnposition but can't get past the blurry focus...
