Like the concept. But, solitary is different to me than bored.

| focus could have been a bit sharper, and its hard to imagine how a plant is bored. |

| niot going to say it doesnt meet the challenge but if your focus were a little better and composed so that the thistle bush were NOT dead center this would be a better shot. I like your use of DOF to compliment your subject which gives this shot a nice look. |

| Even if I accept the anthropomorphic premise that this plant is bored, I can't see it in this image. He's standing tall and proud, wearing his majestic crown, surveying the vast domain that lies below him, stretching as far as the eye can see. |
