Once again I changed my mind and did this last minute. Nothing better when you're bored but to watch paint dry!
I'm sure people will rip this a part because it's not pretty, no clouds are visible and who cares about some old saying about 'I'm so bored I could watch paint dry!'

Great response to the directions to not make the picture boring. Has a lot of movement for a picture of "Boredom."

this is a well executed picture with a certain impact about it, but it doesn't say Bored to me

paint drying, too easy. the photo is really good, the highlight in the brush with red paint dripping down, looks really well done. doesn't seem to fit the challenge for me though.

i love the use of color and texture. i'm not sure how well it depicts boredom (although after I've been painting for a while, this is how I start to paint), but i loved it too much to give it anything less than a 9

Doesn't show boredom!

yes - red paint should cover those bloodstains.

Big shadows behind the brush are a little overpowering. The wood colours are slightly over exposed, and the red paint looks like a really bad job...! Would have been more aesthtically pleasing with better painting, but then it would have been less "cover up the evidence", if that was the look you were going for.
