Spring break in Florida unfortunately was marred by the presence of "Red Tide" a type of algae that kills the fish, which all wash up on the beach, and also causes cold like symptoms, especially coughing for those visiting. My 5 friends and I tried to make the best of our situation, after traveling down from Ithaca, NY.
We enjoyed actually SEEING sunlight, but at times the stench on the beach was horrible! Here you can see my friend Sandra trying to keep her nose covered. I was brave, as you can see in the reflection. Also in the reflection is my friend Dan.
I took this photo for fun, and just really liked the way it turned out. I realize that the sand behind Sandra is somewhat washed out... hard to see the LCD when you are in the sun! Also the sand is almost pure white!
Anyway... hope you enjoy this :-) If nothing else... hope you get a laugh :-).

P.S. did a tad bit of color correction, of course resizing, and tried to burn in a bit of the sand. |

Very creative. Since the background is so overly exposed, I would have cropped it into a vertical. Good work. |

odd image. I gave you a 5 because technically it is okay, but the subject is just plain weird |

The reflection on the sunglass kinda distracts the eyes (damn it also atracts me LoL). Also the sand is overexposed. |

Fun image. I think I would have cropped in as closely on the left, to balance the edge of frame on the right (so lose a bit of the elbow, basically) to make it look more deliberate and even. Keeping the sand is understandable, but you've got all the information about 'beach' in those reflections in the shades. |

someone's really afraid of getting skin cancer from too much exposure |
