Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil
Composition - I really like this shot. It meets the challenge very well and has some great detail to it that is well captured. I don't really have a lot to say about it because I really think it was very well done. The one thing I don't like is that its a little bit brighter than "high key"
Technical - Well framed, for the most part well lit. The focus is good and DOF is great. Nice camera work. Processing is good. Black and white works well for this. The only problem with that is that the areas that are washed out are more emphasized in B&W. Otherwise, good job technically
Overall - Really like this. Not much I'd change. The perspective and angle look pretty calculated and executed very well. This is a great subject to photograph and good to see you did very well with it. Nice work and good luck to you in your future challenges - Inspzil |

fantastic, only why black & white, that looks colorful. |

you loose a lot of details in your whites. |

This is amazing. An incredible photo, and I'm sure the black and white approach helps emphasise the symmetry. Excellent. |

Excellent shot - the top is beautiful, the bottom a bit too white. |

maybe a little less exposure...the wash out ruins the picture where the foreground could stand to loose a bit of detail. Maybe crop picture to remove the long expanse of the pillars and concentrate more on the archways. A good choice in subjects as I love the details in the ceilings. |

What happened with the lighting (esp. at the bottom)? Why only black and white? Perfect example of symmetry! |

Nice high key shot. Good symmetry and awesome framing and perspective. If it wasn't quite so high key, I'd give you a 10 but its a little bright for my personal tastes. Great image though. |

Nice, but seems a little overexposed on the pillars. Or were you aiming for this effect? |

Lovely detail but the lower arch seems blown out. Tricky exposure Im sure but I think perhaps a different angle or crop might have made it less obvious. Beautiful building though. 7 - floyd |

Great shot! I love the detail you captured. Perfect balance/symmetry. It feels almost overly sharp. but I am guessing that's an artistic decision. |

You seems to have captured an incredible amount of detail in a small image - well done. It's quite an interesting photo to look at as a result. |

Really interesting use of contrast here. It looks like a pen and ink drawing. I like it a lot. |

WOW!!! I honestly said "WOW" out loud when I saw this. Perhaps the most impressive shot in this challenge. Just a bit over exposed in the rear columns but correcting that might have under exposed the rest of the picture. I honestly hope you get a Blue Ribbon. |

Nice feeling to this though a tab over exposed. |

Why did you put it in B&W?? Although it's nice, I would like to see the color version... |

I would have loved the color (i think). Little overexposed overall. Very interesting shot, though. |

In B/W, this looks almost like a pencil drawing. I love it. A little washed out in the back. |

The symmitry seems broken up, as the patters shift directions. |
