 Shot this photo after a full moon. Used Layers to desaturate part of the image in played with the brightness slightly to help bring out the blue in the flag. Cloned out a blade of grass and cropped the image.

technically very good use of desat - normally a turn off for me when this bold, but this is better than most. Maybe losing a little too much detail in the top of frame.

Without wishing to offend, the patriotic call implicit in the flag may switch off some non-US voters - very slightly cheapens the image for me as it feels as though the symbol is being used to evoke an emotive response that the picture would not otherwise demand.

The desaturation is effective, but having the flag in the center of the composition makes it a bit static. Perhaps more negative space at the top an on teh right
