one of my favorites of the challenge. i think the composition is perfect and the b&w is nice and contrasty (is that a word?) :) very nice work!

Perhaps a vertical layout would have pointed us viewers up the tree into the heavens rather than scatter our eyes across the forest floor. Beautiful B/W photo otherwise.

Great textural study but it is missing too many textures. A deeper DOF and this would have been great. Nice framing and lighting.

It's got drama, nice. Perhaps a closer crop could have imporved it?

This is my second go around =) - took me a minute to figure out what your title meant... but really like use of b&w and contrast is excellent. I would have dodged and burned some places on the tombstone to make the dates more visible... so it's easier to see what you mean by "11." However, I really like your take on this challenge. Great job!

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

The tree on the left is too dark and shows no detail.

Intresting setting for a cemetery right up against the woods like that. I like the photo though. Nice shot.
