A drizzly day in a local cemetery, perfect weather for this sort of thing. Taken with my 0.7x wide angle attachment.

This is the first challenge in a while (since Lines) that I've really been able to put some effort into. I don't think this is a winner (I expect a casket being lowered, or maybe a cemetery landscape, to ribbon) but I'm pretty pleased with it.

I just noticed I'd left my camera on ISO 400, but the grain seems not to matter... I probably couldn't have gotten this shot handheld on a lower ISO though anyway.

Editing:
adjust levels;
another levels layer, set very dark, masked to show only the edges (used as a burning layer);
slight gaussian blur on the grass (~20 pixels, 20% opacity);
deep blue colorizing layer at 35% opacity;
dodge gravestones and burn shoelaces;
resize;
USM on stones and model (60%, 0.5, 0).

By the way, the title means "Envious time has passed," and comes from Horace's Book I, Ode 11. The fuller quotation is:

"Dum loquimur, fugerit invida aetas: carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

which translates to: "Even as we speak, envious time has passed: seize the day, and put as little trust as possible in tomorrow!"

Nice image and good angle. Looks a little posed (apologies if not). Quite a bit of "clutter" - but not enough, maybe to pass it off as a feature!

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.

I like the angle this shot was taken. One of the few where it works.

Emotive shot and intelligent composition. Personally I dont like "staged" shots and this does look a bit "wooden"
