 I wanted to do something other than an actual cemetery. I figure people will get bored after seeing a couple hundred tombstones. I liked the way the hoods and trunks echoed the idea of head stones in this shot.

Taken from the roof of my SUV to get an unobstructed view over the chain link and 3000 volt electric fence. A little camera shake is the reason for the slight blur -- oh well. I didn't think I could set up my tripod on top of the car!

Crop, curves, slight desat., radial gradient burn as you move away from the red car. Burned the shadow into the side of the red car to restore the shape lost from the curves and desat. Burned out some minor highlights and desat. some competing color highlights.

Nice twist on the challenge. Good comp, but I think hyperfocus would have worked better here. Nice 'rhythm' in the shot thru repetition.

Your pic is ok, just the subject that does not appeal to me personally. I, however will not vote a subject down on my personal whimms. I'd rather look at the pic and try to understand the intend. For me in your pic there is a need for a focus point, eg use of DOF to highlight some specific area/object. Nothing really draws my eyes to it... maybe the red wreck.. but I don't know. Bumping up on merit of your bravery, suppose a lot of members are going to hammer you with low scores.

I am making two passes on this Challenge. I will vote on your photo then return later(before voting is over) to comment on what I like and dislike about your shot. You can take the comments however you wish and I will try not to be mean. Just don't take it the wrong way.
