I gave this a 6 and no comments. When viewed in isolation of the challenge entries, I would give it an 8 and since viewing it again, I find a stronger appreciation for it. Must be cuz I found out we are expecting a baby this year and I love toddler shots. :) |

Cute, crisp and clear. Excellent portrait with a natural expression too - and filling the frame was a good choice. |

Lovely big eyes. I think the focus is on the tip of the nose rather than the eyes but still a very nice portrait.7 |

excellent capture! i'm really struggling with my new 50mm lens now, trying to get just a step beyond this. this is hard enough, but i want to get this type of shot absolutely razor sharp, with very little softness--you know, so the catchlights are large and distinct. i've had a bit better luck shooting at iso400, and i haven't been experiencing that much noise, either. the other thing i've found useful is to pick a single af point and use it without recomposing. all i can say is 'thank God for digital', because i sure couldn't afford to do all the practice it takes to nail a shot like this if i was paying for film...
oh well, enough about me...wonderful image, good luck! |

Great light but a smaller aperture would have been better to get more of her into focus. She is very pretty! |
