 While visiting my Mom on Easter weekend, I took time out and went to visit a small park nearby. During the 6 hour drive home, I remembered taking this shot and just knew it was meant for this challenge.

What heartachingly beautiful color, texture and composition. The hues and depths of color are simply perfect, and the choice of frame is just right to balance the strong, solid subject.

I think this photo really brings home the challenge. It really conveys the feeling of new life after the water recedes from the barren rocks. The colors are wonderful as well. I think the border is just a bit to large and distracts from the photo, but I still really like it! Adding to favorites.

This is a very nice shot! I love the way the rocks are laying on the water and then there is grass just hanging out on the rock..it looks great!

Composition and shot are nice... nice use of focus... would be more appropriate for the theme "Survival" instead of "In the beginning"
