Challenge: In the Beginning... (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Girlfriends house in didsbury, Manchester, UK
Date: Mar 29, 2005
Aperture: f4.6
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/3 sec
Galleries: Portraiture, Studio
Date Uploaded: Mar 29, 2005

Now that I have upgraded my camera and really want to start shooting better shots I decided to jot down lots of ideas that I thought would work for this and try to pick a catagory that alot might not go for ( not that I am religous myself but heh... ) after all I am expecting this challenge to have alot of Easter eggs in it.

Lots of shots taken with many different angles and approaches but I think this one with a slightly washed out look appeals the most, the shot was tightly cropped levels adjusted and a simple white border added.

Interesting take on the challenge, I am surprised it did not finish higher.

Good idea, but your shot his way overexposed in places. Try a shorter exposure or decrease the light.

He looks bored, sorry.

Nice concept, nice pose, can't say the colour manipulation is to my taste though

looks very oversaturated, posing is a bit strange. I'd think eve might be looking at adam while adam looked at the apple comtemplating eating it, or something else...Adam here seems to be "lost in reverie" and eve is the one looking hungry :)...it could've been a contender though

Very difficult to do this shot, nice try.

did adam and eve get their hair cut at a salon? I don't think so. who are we kidding? dumb idea. better get some hippies for models.

Fitting for the challenge. I don't care for the placement of the apple. It covers the mans mouth. The lighting seems a bit harsh on the right of the photo.

Nice photo. Excellent choice of pose and composition. I think it would be improved with softer lighting and/or less contrast. Colors on the apple really show this.

Interesting expression of the theme, with interesting use of strong light.

Photo has a yellow cast and seems overexposed with a lot of digital noise.

good idea, but colors are way off. and why Adam does not look at the apple, nor at Eve?

Nice take on the challenge. A bit too contrasty and the border here isn't helping, though took nothing away because of it.
Sure had good hair stylists in the early days huh? LOL

Good idea, and good posebut over esposed on the RHS and detail obsucred in apple. Apple leaf obscures male mouth.

great idea, but too much light. i'd use a softer light and a red apple.

not sure i like the super bright highlights, and the noise i assume from the higher iso is more than noticeable. good idea and posing.

Very good idea for this challenge. The lighting seems kind of garish.

good concept. Border color BAD choice....throws the whole picture off. Very washed out too for my liking.

First of all, great expression on the two faces. Technically speaking, though, there's some noise here, looks like maybe the result of increase in saturation. You might try playing with Neat Image (there's a free trial) or a similar program if you don't have one already. It's a little bright for my tastes, too.

I think this one is better in B&W also because of bad color adjustment and burnout i picture .. ir

like the idea but dont like the frame, she seems to like the apple but he seems uninterested, the brightness is a little too much and the color a little blinding on my screen...
