 This is my pet poodle, Diana, posing for the camera.
Cropped, did some extensive dodging and burning to achieve desired effect, also burnt the background (my couch). Some local sharpen and blur. Cloned out some imperfections on her eye (she's got some sort of allergy and her eye looks kinda bad)USM and Save for Web.

I gave you a 7 on this one. I was looking for more posed shots and found too many of sleeping animals. I've never seen people sleeping in portraits. This was in the middle somewhere and the hair in front of the eye may have hurt a dash as well.

A lot of the reasons are listed below. I gave this an 8, the distractions are the carpet and the lack of detail in the eyes. I love the lighting on the hair but it's not quite enough for most to push it over the top. But I honestly think the main thing is the carpet, it really detracts from the dog herself.

love the lighting on the top edge of the pup too bad you didn't use a reflector to catch the highlights in her eyes
