I dont make very many comments on peoples work, In fact this is the first one. I am really just in awe of this photo, it is one of the best photos on any site featuring dog photos that I have ever seen. It is also the first image to go into my favorites. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful work with us.

doesn't look much like a photo, more like a digital manipulation. It IS interesting.

I didn't vote in this challenge, but I think you were robbed. This is such a professional, lovely piece of art you've created. Regardless of ribbon or no ribbon, you should be extremely proud of your work.

DOH! You just missed it. Must have been the background that cost you (note that the top three have no background to react to). At least I was correct in predicting a 7+ score. Congrats on your 4th place finish- it's still a blue in my book. ;-)

great looking dogs and portrait....my only question/observation...was this PSed quite a bit? because the eyes and all around it look surreal.

I really like what you did to the background on this one. Makes their coloring seem to be painted and makes them fit right in to the background.

Excellent photo. One of my top picks. I especially like the way all the colors work together. In that particular color range, this is a rare feat, IMO. Good job getting the dogs to cooperate as well. My personal experiences with photographing multiple dogs have been hectic ones. I suppose well mannered dogs make the difference, but you did a great job with this great looking duo.

From the professional style of this excellent photo I am sure of who did this. You have developed a definite style which is very good. Your finished picture looks kind of Victorian painting like, and not as a true photograph. I am amazed by your posing of the dogs, Kudos to you. You probably have a following so don't waiver from the style.

A little too studio, a little too neatimagey, for my tastes, but a wonderfull complex image nevertheless. Wouldn't be surprised to see it ribbon.

Heavily edited. It looks good with your setup and everything it matches the dog's color. It gets an 8

I see a ribbon!! And I'm pretty sure I know whose work this is. Lovely, absolutely lovely! Perfect example of pet portraiture. Please give us all details about what you use to post process. All your photos have a smooth painted effect. (Of course, if I'm wrong about who I'm thinking, I'll have to eat my words, but it won't matter, it's still amazing!) 10

Looks like a painting you might find on royal walls. Beautiful. I am not generally a fan of PS overkill. I think this is a bit over the top, but works quite well.

This has a beautiful painterly feel to it, but at the same time looks too surreal to be real...I hope that makes sense. I do love the color and clarity, but I think it's a bit heavily post-processed.

Very interesting processing, whatever you did. I also like the foreground and background a lot, it goes really well with the colors of the dogs. Truly a portrait and not a snapshot. Well done.

Recognized your style right away. Beautitiful shot. If I am correct in thinking who did this shot, I read in the fourms that you may be getting a love/hate reponnse. I have an opinion of why you may be getting this split in voltes, if you want to PM me later. If I am totally off-base here, then my apologies!!!

I'll be very surprised if this isn't wearing a ribbon soon -- excellent, excellent work! 10 all the way.

This looks like a painting. It's too much processing (I hope I'm not being presumptuous!) Honestly, I don't know where the photo ends and the enhancements begin. The shot is composed very very nicely. Everything about this works for me, except it doesn't look real! I'm still going to score it high, since it is really well done.

II think this is quite atraditional type studio shot, but well done just the same, the highlight in the background behind the rh dog is distracting perhaps over lit but I love the easy pose and cofidence of the dogs, I can see this on the owners wall 8

Classic Portrait material, the only thing that bothers me, well two things bother me a bit, is the fact they are looking down and not at or above or even to the side, more eye level with the camera and the dark edges. Not a big fan of dark edges. Otherwise a stunnig shot. A 9
