 This is my 11-month-old doberman, Bryher. I'm a little concerned about this picture because I accidentally focused on his nose instead of his eye, so I'm afraid I'll get a lot of focus comments, but I still thought it was such a good picture of him that I submitted it anyway.

editing: crop, lighten shadows, spot editing to get rid of reflection of sun in his eye, unsharp mask

bumping this up to 8 for your ability to give detail to the black fur. Not sure about the POV which for me is holding it back from higher score.

Nice DOF. Composition is very good, although i little off to the right. Lighting is nice, but i'd wish for a reflector below the dog's face (left). 6

Nice unique angle for this challenge. Tree is distracting in the background. Plain blue sky would work better for me but I am not sure how feasible it would be where you took this picture. Handsome dog. I also have a floppy eared dobey that looks quite a bit like yours so, as unfair as it might be to others, I gotta bump you up one! :~)
