| The sparkles in the shadow are great, but too subtle. Maybe a better angle would have been to come much closer and shoot into the light, filling the frame with the stone and its shadow (with the sparkles closest to the camera). |

| Looks like part of a geode. Very nice subject but I don't think you really capitalized on the wonderful colors as well as you could've. I think the framing and lighting could use a little help. I'd have made the piece of stone more in the middle and moved the light source up to shorten the shadow. If the colors would've really shown on the present shadow, it might've been worth it but it only shows up as a couple of specs. Nice photo, but I think it has a lot more potential |

Beautiful Colours! Love the shadow. Great lighting. The focus is right on.
What else can I say?
I don't like that shadow at the top, that's all. Very distracting. Why is it there?
In all honesty, I would have given you an eight if it weren't there. |

| maybe a reflector at the front right would brighten the front face of the crystal just a tad.. also, the big shadow in the background distracts. nice focus and clarity and colors |

| That is a nice rock, I would like to see the back ground all white. I find the black at the top of the photo a bit distracting, it is competing with the focal point of your photo. |

| The shadow in the background is a distraction. And I'd prefer the light source to come towards the camera a bit. But otherwise nice. |
