My Daughter's cat Timmy

Took about 50 shots to get this and even then I wish it was a bit sharper

Handheld at 1/8s doesn't make for good sharp shots but when the cats in the mood for posing you gotta take what you can get.

Aperture f /5.6
ISO 1600

Post Prod.

Cloned out distracting bit of wall behind his head

Auto Levels
Auto Contrast
Auto Colour

then convert to B£W using my preferred method of Gradient Map. Tweaked B&W range but careful not to blow out white fur on Timmy's chest.

Wish I'd never submitted this

Learned a valuable lesson

If I'm not happy with a shot, dont submit it!

The composition looks good but (at least on my monitor) the image seems a little dark. As such it also seems a little soft. I like the catchlights in the eyes.

This is my second go around =) - Awh... very cute! I think the spot on his nose is a little too distracting... I would have tried burning it in a little, looks too over-exposed. Also, the picture looks like it is not really sharp... looks slightly blurry. Otherwise, very good job =)

This is a very nice cat, I like the spot on his face; however, I think it needed a little sharpening because it is quite blurry on my monitor..

Do i Recongnise this cat? A little soft on the focus maybe. Still a nice shot. If this is the cat that i think he is; i thought there might be a shot of him brushing his teeth. :)
Good luck with the challange
