interesting image. you might consider a shadow/highlight adjustment, though, to bring out some of the detail on the animal. as is, it's just too much in the shadows to really appreciate. you might also consider a less centered composition the next time you happen upon one of these beasts. it's one thing if you want to shoot a straight documentary shot, it's another thing if you want to create an engaging image the captivates and keeps the viewer for awhile. hope this does well for you. good luck! |

I would have cropped out more of the blurry vegitation in the foreground. It distracts from the excellent part of the image of the elk. |

Composition doesn't convince me. Usually the eyes work best when used with rule of thirds, and negative space usually works in the direction an animal is facing. Composition and cropping seem like an afterthought here. |
