Ooooooooh, he's so cute! I once sewed a dog that looked just like him for a Christmas present for my boss's daughter oh so many years ago! Thanks for the memories!

As for the shot, nice composition, good angle but the background doesn't really compliment the dog to me and the light on the end of the nose is distracting, natural light I presume? And black animals are so difficult to shoot , trying to get all the details without washing out the color. Was at a 6 first pass around but will bump to a 7 for memorie's sake and to make Mac, happy. If you ask nice I'll show you the Mac at the barn at Gale's, he's a real cutie too :)

I think this picure would have been better if the dog had not been so close to the fence so that the detail of the fence could have been blurred.

great profile. I think a less complicated background would have worked better, but this is a nice portrait.

Very popular dog these days, even on in the White House. I would of like to see his/her face from the front to include the eyes.

Yeesh, black dogs are soooooooooooooo hard to photograph. You did well getting details in the majority of the fur. I like the traditional profile shot associated with scotties too, plus the ribbon. I think this is an excellent shot considering the technical difficulties to pull it off right.
