Good picture of the rodent (hamster?). While I appreciate the difficulties you must face in getting one of these guys to pose, I would really prefer this picture without the person in the background. The hand is a detractor as well, IMO. Good shot of the hamster, though. My points are really more about composition than the primary subject, which you captured well.

It is very difficult to take a photo of a rodent! My husband tried it - gave the hamster a piece of asparagus, which disappeared into her cheek and off she ran...tried it again with a cracker...same thing and no portrait of the hamster. Great texture, color, fun photo

Cute rat, but soft focus on the nose and whiskers and cluttered background make this a snap shot.

OMG, I hate mice with a passion. I mean jumping on the table and screaming kind of hate. But I have to hand it to you. I'm basing my vote on how big of heebie jeebies that gives me from those beady eyes. You've captured its creepiness. Please ask him to keep his cousins away from my house :)

So it is, recently read a book where a pet rat was one of the main characters and see them in a different light already...nice shot
