Greetings from the Critique Club
By Inspzil
Composition - I was thinking about doing something similar with one of my kids for this challenge. I like the idea. When I opened this picture up, all I could see was the toes and the top part of the feet. I think actually I liked it better without the ankles or heels included in the frame. It made it seem a little softer and more feminine. I bet painting your toenails bright red would've helped. It would've added that little splash of color to give the viewers a little more focal point. But generally I like the idea and think its a pretty good pic.
Technical - Very nice lighting and tones. This is a very well taken photo.
Overall - I think this is a pretty good photo, better than 5.3. I think the nail polish would've given you a little more. It would definitely given voters clarity on the gender of the toes. Its really a picture anyone could do, but doing it well is the key. I think you did very well.
I'm glad you liked my kitten pictures. Keep up the good work. - Bob |

I don't know what it is about feet, but I have several foot photos in my Favorites area. This one will probably be there too, when this is over. Really unique take on the challenge, and your use of light, shadow and tone are masterful. |
